DOC!
Normally I wouldn't blog a few days apart. First off, time is precious, but this will be shorter than the others. You see, about a month ago Cheryl and I added onto our little family. We always said after we bought a house, one of the first things we would get would be a dog...we weren't lyin'. He was rescued and being held at a foster home when we found him. He was around nine weeks old and as friendly as can be. Cheryl and I fell in love with him right away. We took him home and now have a child that never grows up. Now I know why they say to get a dog before having children...you gotta wake up in the middle of the night (well, i do b/c cheryl is scared of the dark) to take them to the bathroom, spend time training them, pamper them, etc. A lot of the time its frustrating, but then he comes and sleeps at my feet while i'm studying and I'm a sucker all over again. (this pic and the first pic are from when we first got him, he's a lot bigger now).
To answer any dog questions...His name is Doc, a friend of ours suggested it and, given our situation, it seemed appropriate. Doc is a blue tick mix. He definitely has the blue tick coloring which is the white with dark speckles. He's not as big as i thought he would be, but he's only 3 months now. He head kind of looks like a terrier, but his bark is definitely a hound dog. One night he didn't want to go to bed, so he barked for a little (which is high pitched) and then broke out into a full on howl...i looked at Cheryl and said "what is that!?, is that Doc?" then i lost it, i laughed forever, i thought it was so cute.
He loves people and wants to play with every dog that goes by. Yogi and Boo, our cats, aren't all that fond of him, but i'm sure when he calms down a little they would mind him so much. I'm very proud of Doc, everywhere we take him, people fall in love with him; our neighbor asks to babysit him all the time. He's a stud, what can I say?
