Rockefeller's got nothing on me...

There's a little story behind this tree, which most of the people that actually read this blog already know. For some reason, last year Cheryl and I were watching Martha Stewart...i know, it's already funny. Anyway, she was talking about a different way to hang your lights on the Christmas tree; she showed how to make your likes look like they are "floating" in the tree by wrapping each branch individually. I believe Sonya, Cheryl's sister, said it best, "you guys hear something and say 'that sounds hard, lets do it!'" I don't think Cheryl really cared to much, but i really wanted to try it, so I went and got some more lights b/c we did not have enough to pull off this project. Well, 2 hours and 1200 lights later, the tree is finished. About a 1/3 of the way through i finally got into a rhythm that worked and started moving pretty good. It's a lot of lights, but it looks really festive and we're happy with it. Hopefully I'll have some more pics up later, I want to hang some lights outside too. So, here's what it looks like so far.

Dude, that is a lot of lights!!! I can't imagine that, Jess has a hard enough time getting me to help her with hanging lights the normal way. It looks like Johnny and Doc are thinking, "IT'S TOO BRIGHT!! CAN'T LOOK AT THE TREE!!!" Can't wait to see you guys in a couple of weeks.
